Travel to the depths of the jungle of Panama and discover the Embera. You know the ancient culture and way of life of this Amerindian people, and you will enjoy a traditional lunch.
Itinerary
After picking you up at your hotel in City of Panama, we will travel for an hour in the direction of lake Alajuela. To get to the dock, we will board a boat to give a stroll through the waters of the lake.
Cruise the lake Alajuela, enjoying a natural environment of great beauty. We will reach the Chagres river and we will approach one of its waterfalls so you can admire a beautiful waterfall in the jungle.
The tour will continue visiting one Embera community. We know the culture of this people, who moved from their ancestral lands in Colombia in the 18th century. Embera offered us a welcome dance and they will explain their traditions and way of life. We will discover how to make their canoes and dresses, and you can see handicrafts made with minerals and woods from the jungle.
To regain strength, Embera taste a lunch fruit-based, river fish and fried plantains.
By the end, We'll take you back to the hotel.
